A few days ago, in a press release by Media Molecule, we learned that we’d be coming to the conclusion of our Dreams journey in fall months. Media Molecule announced that they will end their support for Dreams to focus on other projects.
After this announcement following the announcement by Mark Healey, one of the creators of the company who was to leave Media Molecule, created question marks on the minds. It is possible that Healey does not agree with the other members of the team on Dreams?
Mark Healey is not only co-founder and the founder of Media Molecule, but also the director of Dreams. “After 17 incredible years in the birth and development of Media Molecule, I’ve decided it’s time for me to fly home, today is my last day at MCC. I’m proud of the role I’ve played and working with some really great people from LittleBigPlanet to Dreams and beyond,” said Healey. He also said that he’d make a new direction for himself, and was not sure the direction that this new path would take to.
“To new beginnings! For those who listen to their heart and explore the unknown – yo ho ho and a bottle of rum – I embark on a Pirate adventure! An adventure about making games,” said he concluded.
I believe we’ll soon discover whether the pirate and rum reference are really relevant.
