Konami announced on its social network that the brand new Metal Gear Solid collection will also be available on PlayStation 4. Master Collection Vol., that includes Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The first game will be available on PS4 following PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

Konami’s announcement was somewhat of a disappointment to those who purchased the games as boxes. It is expected that the Metal Gear Solid collection will be available as a digital download. The release date for the PS4 version was not revealed. It’s been confirmed that it will be available on the 24th of October on other platforms.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is on the way
In the Master Collection, the original games have been meticulously redesigned and certain elements that could appear to be old-fashioned will be kept. In the meantime, Konami is working on an upcoming game called Metal Gear Solid Delta.
