Tekken 8 will have Crossplay support

Tekken is one of the most well-known fighting games around the globe is set to get a brand new edition of the show. It was revealed that the game being designed to be the next generation of Tekken using Unreal Engine 5 will have crossplay support.

Tekken is one of the most loved fighting games on the planet is set to get an updated version. The game was first released in 2022, and then adapted to be the next generation using Unreal Engine 5, Tekken 8 will be the first crossplay-based games within the tournament.

Tekken Game Director Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed the release date of Tekken 8 will have crossplay support. With crossplay support players can organize multiplayer matches with friends across all platforms. The statement was made in Twitter, Harada also explained the reason why this feature was not included present in Tekken 7.

In Harada’s words in the year of Tekken 7’s launch, Microsoft and Sony did not allow crossplay games, which meant that the Tekken team’s job extremely challenging. The statement states that companies make it difficult , even when Sony and Microsoft explicitly allow crossplay games, Harada stated that Tekken 8 won’t have problems with crossplay. Tekken 8, which will provide stunning visuals using Unreal Engine 5, will soon be available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC platforms.
