PixelOpus, a Playstation Studios game, will be shut down on September 30th.

Sony, a company that has been adding studios in recent years has announced it will be closing a studio. The decision is quite interesting. PixelOpus will be closing its doors in the next month.

Sony has taken an interesting step. In recent years it has acquired many animation and game studios under its Playstation Studios label. Sony has announced that PixelOpus will close next month. The company is the creator of Entwined and Concrete Genie games.

PixelOpus is closing on June 2, despite its reputation for innovative ideas

A Playstation official told Engadget that Playstation Studios regularly evaluates the studios in terms of their portfolio and projects. PixelOpus will close on June 2, after these evaluation processes have been completed. The studio posted a farewell tweet after this decision.

PixelOpus was founded in 2014 by Sony Interactive Entertainment. He is known for Entwined, Concrete Genie and his productions with interesting concepts and styles. Concrete Genie, a game by PixelOpus, will remain available in the Playstation Store despite the studio’s closure next month. The studio was allegedly working on a PS5 with Sony Picture Animation but we are unlikely to see the game.
